Repetition is the mother of learning.

I repeat this sentence to myself before each awakening. I dare the alarm clock, always opening my eyes a few minutes before it makes its noise. At 06:15, I am on my feet, and after briefly stretching, I make my bed, shower and get dressed. In exactly one hour, the gears that run this world begin turning. The superintendents announce daily activities before young, awoken faces. First up is the library, an hour and a half of studying. Next, a drill at the firing range, and after that, regaining focus through exercise on the football fields and basketball courts. Nobody has complained about the schedule yet. Spending time with people similar to each other, we grow our unity almost intuitively. Following lunch, we are allowed free time until seven o’clock – we mostly spend it talking in the lounge or finishing up on work for tomorrow. With the closing daily announcements, the superintendents underline what has been accomplished, announcing results of daily shooting and running drills. All of us here are proud competitors. Lights are out by 10 already, and it is wisest to go to sleep, because the following day brings about new challenges. I repeat to myself a sentence each time before retreating to bed.

Repetiton is the mother of learning.
