OPEN CALL FOR THE 7TH ISSUE OF TRISTOTROJKA

Housing is living, the way we spend time in the world – and it has become survival instead of living – survival of man from architecture, survival of architecture from man.

For the 7th issue of Tristotrojka, we look at housing through apocalyptic scenarios into which housing can turn or may have already turned into. What does housing look like with hunger and scarcity, how does it change in times of plague and catastrophe, what conflicts does it bring and what does it turn into when its current being dies?

We are interested in the constructiveness, but even more in the destructiveness of the architect in his desire to create roof overheads for his fellow citizens. What housing can and cannot be; may or must not be. Where, after all, is the architect in all this? Is he a tool, a mediator, or a cause of bad housing practices? Maybe we don’t need an architect. Maybe the best things we can do ourselves? However, whoever the main actor is, we need this architectural discourse.

Because after all, we all have to (somewhere) live.

We expect interesting projects, articles, texts, stories, lectures, lessons, graphics, illustrations, comics, or questions.
We are always in the mood for any questions so you can contact us via messenger, Instagram, or e-mail.

We will receive your works at opencall@tristotrojka.org by August 1st, 2021.
