Idea

During the detailed analysis of the subject area and the position of the artistic pavilion “Cvijeta Zuzorić”, a mutual dissonance was observed, which served as a motive of the author’s concept.
Together with the fact that this institution was poorly visited, there was a need for an activation of this area. Such architectural revitalisation would significantly affect the number of visitors, which is an important thing in cultural institutions.

Analysis

Author’s project of the pavilion upgrade enables a flexibility of the easy-to-assemble construction. This would allow for periodic use depending on the user’s needs.
It is important to indicate that, consequently, he would not come into permanent contact with the pavilion so there would be no architectural disagreement.
Materialisation would be in line with the existing one so that the visual-aesthetic value could remain preserved.

Concept

The idea is based on the levelling of the pavilion with the immediate environment, which results in better communication.
Such a process is achieved through an elegant interpolation from the highest point of the pavilion by the easy-to-assemble construction. In this way, we synthesize the pavilion with the field in which it is located, in order to make a unity.
This project gives users a new space designed for the promotion of the art pavilion through potential directions towards the Kalemegdan terrace.
