Conceptual design of lighting

Ideas for innovation in the world of lighting come inspired by the still new OLED technology. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode ) is a type of light emitting diode (LED) that emits light and is consisted of organic components. This material is made of carbon fibers that emit light when the electric current is conducted through them. OLED is the latest and most advanced technology, it is believed that it will change the evolution of devices for lighting and television.

The inspiration for the form of the the lamp comes from nature; inspired by the waves of the sea. The design of the lamp is a reduced, elegant, minimalist design designed modern interiors of hotels, restaurants or homes.

The set of lamps is consisted of a table lamp, measuring 250mm x 100mm, and a modular lamp, one module has dimensions of 150 mm x 80 mm. The difference between the table lamp and one module is only in dimensions.

The modular lamp is intended for mounting on walls or ceilings with the help of a special innovative slit, or fixator (carrier).

The slit, or fixator, carrier is versatile. It includes slots, scroll bars, which are as long as one module is wide and it can fixate six modules, thus forming a hexagon.

Each lamp is tied (fixated, locked) with three slits (carriers), which provides modularity according to wishes and the quantity of modules …

In addition to these features, the function of transmitting electricity to other lamps is just as important, because the inside of the slit has a metal wire that carries electricity from one lamp to another.

A module is, as well as the table lamp, very simply constructed… The wires that power the OLED panel with a current of 12V are placed throughout the wavy form of the aluminum frame, and are connected on the conductor that makes contact with the following conductor which is in the other frame.

Each lamp is assembled of three aluminum frames that merge and form a triangle. In the inner part there are gutters that ensure a strong connection, which is then secured with a magnetic plate.
